CTET February – 2026 PUBLIC NOTICE
In reference to para 19 page 12 of Information Bulletin CTET February – 2026, following is clarified:
a. A candidate who claims to belong to PwBD category as defined under section 2(r) of the RPWD Act 2016 should submit a copy of the certificate on the prescribed proforma and UDID card issued by appropriate issuing authority as per rule on the prescribed in support of his / her claim.
b. The facility of scribe and/or compensatory time shall be granted solely to those candidates with benchmark disability as defined under section 2(r) and 2(s) of the RPWD Act 2016 and having difficulty in writing subject to production of a certificate to the effect that person concerned has limitation to write and that scribe is essential to write examination on his/her behalf from the competent medical authority of a Government healthcare institution on the prescribed proforma.
C. In case of persons with benchmark disabilities in the category of blindness, locomotor disability (both arm affected-BA) and cerebral palsy, the facility of scribe shall be given, if so desired by the person.
d. The qualification of the scribe would be one class lower than the minimum qualification criteria of the post for which the examination is being conducted. However, the qualification of the scribe/reader should always be matriculate or above.
e. The PwD candidates who require scribe will be allowed to meet scribe for a 20-minute interaction session one hour before the start of the examination at the assigned examination centre for ascertaining its suitability.
f. As per office memorandum F. No. 29-6/2019-DD-III dated 10th August 2022 issued by Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) Compensatory time not less than 50 minutes per hour of the examination would be allowed for persons who are eligible for getting scribe.
g. There will be separate Question Paper in large font for Visually Impaired candidates. It may also be noted that normal Question Paper shall also be available at the examination centre to Visually Impaired candidates. It is the choice of Visually Challenged candidate to use either of the Question paper.
h. The differently-abled candidates should bring with themselves the disability certificate on proper format issued by the Competent Authority and it should be produced at the examination centre to avail above relaxation(s). The facility of scribe and/or compensatory time will not be provided to the candidate if he/she is not able to produce disability certificate (on proper format issued by the Competent Authority) before centre superintendent before commencement of examination.
