17 सप्टेंबर मराठवाडा मुक्तीसंग्राम दिनानिमित्त सोपे इंग्रजी भाषण Speech on Marathwada Liberation Day

Respected Principal, teachers, and my dear friends,

Good morning to everyone.

Today, we have gathered here to observe Marathwada Liberation Day, celebrated every year on 17th September. It is a very important and proud day in the history of Maharashtra and India.

India became independent on 15th August 1947. However, Marathwada was still under the rule of the Nizam of Hyderabad. The people of Marathwada wanted to become a part of independent India. Therefore, they started a strong movement against the Nizam’s rule.

Many brave freedom fighters participated in this struggle. Swami Ramanand Tirth played an important role in leading the movement. Along with him, many known and unknown freedom fighters made great sacrifices for freedom and democracy.

Finally, on 17th September 1948, Hyderabad State was liberated and Marathwada became a part of the Indian Union.

Marathwada Liberation Day reminds us of the courage, sacrifice, unity and patriotism of the people who fought for freedom. We should always respect their contribution and remember their sacrifices.

On this special day, let us take a pledge to respect our Constitution, protect the unity and integrity of our country, and become responsible citizens of India.

Let us remember and salute all the brave freedom fighters of the Marathwada Liberation Movement.

Jai Hind!
Vande Mataram!
