Subject: Inviting Online Application Form for Joint Entrance Examination (Main)-2027 (Session 1) -Reg.

The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) to NTA from 2019 onwards.

JEE (Main) comprises of two papers. Paper 1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B.Tech) at NITS, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments. It is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs. Paper 2 of JEE (Main) is conducted for admission to B. Arch and B. Planning courses in the country.

For Academic Session 2027-28, it has been decided that the JEE (Main)-2027 will be conducted in two Sessions i.e. Session 1 (January 2027) and Session 2 (April 2027). The details for the Session 1 (January 2027) are given below

JEE (Main) – 2027 will be conducted in 13 languages i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

The candidates can apply for Session 1 (January 2027) Examination only and pay the Examination Fee accordingly. A separate opportunity will be given to the candidates to apply for Session 2 (April 2027) Examination (using the same Application Number, if applied for Session 1) along with the fee payment option, for which a notification will be issued later. If the candidate wishes to apply for Session 2 (April 2027) only, they may register later and pay the Examination Fee when the Application Form is made live for that Session. The tentative schedule for online Application Form of Session 2 is available in the Information Bulletin of JEE (Main) – 2027.

Important Instructions:

i. Candidates can apply for JEE (Main)-2027 Session 1 through the “Online” mode only from the website https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/ The Application Form in any other mode will not be accepted.

ii. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. Under no circumstances, candidates will be allowed to fill more than one Application Form. Strict action will be taken, even at a later stage, against such candidates who have filled more than one Application Form.

iii. Candidates must strictly follow the instructions given in the Information Bulletin and on the NTA website. Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be summarily disqualified.

iv. Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form for registration are their own or Parents/Guardians’ only as all information/communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address or SMS on the registered Mobile Number.
